Lismore Castle has been the Irish Home of the Dukes of Devonshire since 1753 and is possibly the most Spectacular Castle in Ireland,,,It is situated in a really Panoramic position overlooking The River Blackwater and the Blackwater Valley,,it has views over the rolling wooded hills to the Knockmealdown mountains and beyond,,,Whilst being Totally Private,,,The Castle is just 200 to 300 yards from the centre of the Heritage Town of Lismore and all the Historical buildings of which there are many,,,,Prince Charles and Lady Camilla visited the present Duke at the Castle in very recent years,,and were photographed by Photojournalists   from the National,,Provincal and Local Press,,,as they strolled in the Foothills of the Knockmealdown Mountains...
