Sheepstown Church,,Knocktopher / Newmarket,County Kilkenny,#1

This Lovely little Church [Ruin]Lies just off the road between Knocktopher and Newmarket in County Kilkenny,,on the left hand side,,,after you leave Knocktopher on the Callan /Carrick - on Suir road you will pass under the new Dublin / Cork / Waterford Motorway the M9 and just about 500 yards,,,you will see the Brown Sign Sheepstown Church on your left,,,,,there is a nice parking space just 10 yards before the little Green Gate,,that takes you through a Little Paddock,,the Church is clearly visable as you approach the Gate,,,, After you have visited this Beautiful Church ruin,,which is really Excellent in the way it is kept,,,you can then if you wish and I hope you do,,just continue maybe just around a mile towards Newmarket,,,before you enter the Village You will See the Famine House and Gardens,,,NOT TO BE MISSED,,,,Good Luck & God Bless!!
