With the Reorganisation of the Irish Churches on a Dioccesan rather than a Monastic basisin the 12th Century,it became nessary to build a number of new Parish Churches. Most of the Medieval Parish Churches dete from the 15th or 16th Century,,but this church at Sheepstown is one of the rarer kind dating from around 1200.It was Dedicated to St. Muicin. It's Architectural details,as in the doorway are plain,,except for the beaded moulding on the four corners of the building and what is known as a " Clock - Stone " high up on the West Gable.,,,,,, Very Well Worth that VISIT!!
