On a very recent trip through the many valleys in the Galty Mountain Range,,,which is or can be disputed on,,,I would think Co.Limerick,,according to the direction I was,,,3 Counties are involved,,,on the Old Road from Cahir in Tipperary to Mitchelstown in Cork, there is the Village of Kilbehany and I turned off the Road near the Village of Skeennarinkey,,,the Tipperary side of Kilbehany,, now as I forgot to mention Kilbehany is in County Limerick and there is a Wonderful Pub/Restaurant there called " The Three Counties ", whilst there a local man and myself got chatting and I asked him the names of the two Streams that come down from the mountain,,I am sure of the stream that comes down to the right-hand side is called the " Attychraan " as I had to write it down, I think the left hand-side one was " Carrigeen ",,if I am wrong I will rectify,,,but both of those lovely streams meet just below Kings Yard which is a Farm owned by Bridgid & Stephen Ryan, where the streams meet they continue to be called the Attychraan River and from this point the river is the Boundry between Limerick and Tipperary Counties,,,,also to say both streams flow through to Forested Valleys and are an ideal photographers paradise, with all the waterfalls, large & Small & of course the lovely mostly red sandstone rocks plus the varied colouring of the Trees,,,, I just had started my walk through the Forest and by chance caught the picture of the Butterfly sharing a couple of Thistle Flowers with a Honey Bee !
