New Fishing Boats,,River Suir,Carrick-on-Suir,Tipperary.

New Fishing Boats or "Cots"as they were and probably are still known,,These days they are usually powered by Outboard Motors,,in  Times past Paddles & Oars & A long Pole were used,,they were used in Salmon Fishing,,,which in those years was the livlihood for many ,many Families,,,Nets were used strung between two cots,,,and when there was a strike that was when the Fishermen knew there were Fish in the net,,,,the boats came together and the nets were emptied of Fish.
