Caught on film by a steady hand,
A Kodak portrait of sea and sand.
A half-doored cottage of red and white,
Crowned by thatch, a nostalgic sight.
Then on that reel ,our Shaggy Dog,
Next frame shows a Peat-stacked bog,
On again the old Village Oak,
With seating round for the village folk
Mistletoe growing on an apple tree,
Revered by the Druids for fertility.
Move on to the next a Portal tomb,
Radiating mystery beneath full moon.
A Holy-Well in County Clare,
Shows coins and medals, from visitors there.
Glendalough's lakes a wondrous sight,
A glorious profusion of shade and light.
You can catch more beauty,
Through that little lens,
Than you can ever explain,
With paper and pens.
