Boulic was a very important Ecclesiastical site from earliest times and was a parish as far back

as 1291,at the end of the 19th century 2 bells were found when a grave was being dug at the base

of the protective Tower,and were given to Archbishop Croke ,and during the restoration of the Famed

Holy Cross Abbey Nr.Thurles County Tipperary,the Archbishop had them hung in the Tower of the Abbey
