Bloody Foreland or Cnoc Fola ("The hill of Blood ") is so called because the sun, particularly at evening, lights up the rocks to a reddish hue.
The views here in this exposed region are tremendous taking in the islands Árainn Mór, Gabhla, Tory Island and Horn Head.
The wonderful play of light along coast, and the unique wild beauty makes it a very special place to visit.
