Visit Achill Island across the Sound,
It's mystical beauty will astound.
Keel beach with it's sands so white,
reminds one of a Sahara sight.
Keem beach cut from Atlantic swell,
Rare Amethyst finds on the beach as well,
Beauty abundant in wildest forms,
Even beautiful still through Winter storms.
Sanctuary also for the Wildlife to roam,
For God's own creatures a safely home.
Flowers of rarity also thrive here,
The Corncrake though rare is also near.
Rare birds you'll see a wondrous sight,
Hear the Cuckoo through the fading light.
Roam bog roads through gorse and heather,
Same rugged beauty whatever the weather,
To quote the words Henry Seddal wrote,
"A Heaven sent
for Naturalist, Artist and Poet "
