Yes please, I would love to see more of this castle. It would be lovely if it were restored and used as a Bed and Breakfast or some other purpose. Perhaps a rehabilitation home? Something that would make the "evil landlord" roll over in his grave. No one should be so horribly treated. thank you

Restore it or make a bed and breakfast.

This can help people enjoy our Ireland heritage. As for I backtracked my ancestors to Ireland roots.

Another positive use of this tiny castle

A friend posted this tiny castle on facebook today. I saw it & at first thought although it's small size, it's beautiful. I mentioned I'd luv to have my upcoming wedding there. Then I thought better yet I could have a similar tiny castle built on my farmland & get married there & live there. I showed it to my fiance' & he agreed. Then while he was viewing it. I told him I wonder what the history was behind it & I'd look further into it. I did & was horrified. I understand the love for a spouse & wanting to make em happy. But to hurt/kill innocent people. .. And how incredibly selfish of his wife, provided that she even knew of that being the reasons why those horrible things happened just to build her "dream mansion"? If she didn't know that's different. Cuz I'm sure back the the Royal men didn't tell their women everything.
Either way... it's a beautiful tiny castle & I'm sooo truely sorry such tragedies happened just to build it.
If I could...I would restore it, install indoor plumbing/electricity, AC & Heat units/systems, exterminate, repaint inside, make all necessary repairs inside & out & live there. Or rent it as a vacation getaway to approved people. I wouldn't rent it to anyone that would trash it out. Or... I like the idea to make it a functional usable facility of some sort to help the community/locals. I'd have to research what the community needed. And...no matter what.. I'd make it a horse rescue/reserve. The land surrounding it is beautiful!
I know the castle has a tragic unfortunate history. But I'd love to see it put to GOOD use & create a new more happy positive history. :)

If you could trace back the ancestral roots to the people who inhabited the piece of land under the landlord, I wonder just what sort of stories you would get from them? It would interesting to read.

Restoration

I personally would be happy to invest in the purchase and restoration, however what I will do is put it to the Clan Council of the Clan Ó Flannagáin of Uachtare Tíre to consider it as a project for the Clan to adopt. I can see the potential of turning it into a cultural centre not only for the Clan but for the Co. and Country.
