After a nice climb,I meet a Rough Mountain Road this road is coming from a starting point ,,,it is a Brown Sign for Galtee Climb,,which is Signposted from near the Village of Skeenarinky,,,on the old Cahir to Mitchelstown Road,,,,as the new Motorway M9 is very busy and if you are on it you can Exit At Mitchelstown,or Cahir,,,There Is A Lovely Inscribed Stone Plaque here,,In Remembrance of 3 Airmen who lost their Lives,here on the Galtee Mountains,,on the 20th of September 1976,,,,Erected by their Friends & Colleagues,The 3 Airmen were Founder Members of Abbyshrule Club,in Co.Longford,,,,May They Forever Rest in Peace,Amen.
There is a Beautiful piece inscribed on the lower portion of the Stone;
" O I Have Slipped The Surly Hands of Earth and Touched The Face God "
