Cross on Mt. Leinster

Date: 16/11/2014 | By: Anna Jordan

Thank you Pat Duggan, I enjoyed looking at the wonderful pictures. I found your site by accident while looking for information about the holy year in Ireland 1950-51. There is a Holy Year Cross on Knockroe Hill (a foothill of Mt. Leinster) A group of locals are at present in the process of having it restored, so will get back to you with an invitation to come and take a photograph when the work is complete. It's very noticeable on the road between Kiltealy in Wexford and Ballymurphy in Co Carlow an area know as Scullogue Gap.
God Bless.

Gurteen Castle -- Tipperary

Date: 31/10/2014 | By: Wayne "Wil" Power

I live in rural Canada. Thanks for the article on "my castle". As a tenor, I wil be singing the 1912
"It's A Long Way to Tipperary"
In our Nov. 11th Rembrance Day
Ceremony. And... Will be painting an acrylic of Gurteen,
as my special family heritage
project for my gallery showing.
Thanks for the inspiration.
